SLS Technology

Selectively Sinters powdered material by scanning cross-sections generated from a 3-D CAD file on the surface of a powder bed. After each cross-section is scanned, the powder bed is lowered by one layer thickness and a new layer of material is applied on top, the process is repeated until the part is completed.

SLS Advantage

Unlike other additive manufacturing processes, SLS does not require support structures because it is surrounded by unsintered powder during the duration of the build.

SLS has the ability to build complex parts with interior components without tapping or altering surface from support removal. SLS can produce parts that closely represent the physical properties of the production material.
