The properties of the feedstock powder are paramount to a successful MLS outcome, and to ensure consistency all Incodema3D feedstock are sourced according to our rigorous powder specifications and we maintain 100% traceability to the last melt through rigorous lot control for both virgin and used powder.

Static mechanical properties are determined for materials that have optimized parameters and include tension testing in X, Y and Z build directions with data reported according to ASTM F2971. Once this is complete the material and process parameters become qualified by Incodema3D standards and are listed on the IncodALLOY™ material data sheet.
Incodema3D also offers proprietary material development for customers having specific alloy needs. Using our meticulous parameter development sequence we can optimize material properties for specific part applications and report global energy used for each unique alloy ensuring consistency from material development to part design optimization to part production.
