Greg Galvin, Cornell University 2014 Entrepreneur of the Year Joins Incodema3D
Entrepreneur, Inventor and Visionary brings global experience to Incodema3D
Greg Galvin chairman and CEO of Rheonix Inc. and Mezmeriz Inc. and co-founder and former CEO of Kionix Inc., has been named Cornell Entrepreneur of the Year 2014.
Galvin was elected to the Cornell Board of Trustees in 2011 and also serves on the advisory councils for the College of Engineering and the Department of Materials Science.
Dr. Galvin has a B.S. from the California Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and M.B.A. from Cornell University.
He launched his first company Kionix in 1993. Kionix is now a leading supplier of Micro- Electro –Mechanical Systems (“ MEMS”) , inertial sensors and software.
More recently, Galvin is Chairman and CEO of Mezmeriz, Inc. Mezmeriz developed a unique MEMS module which can be embedded into smartphones and mobile electronics to enable gesture UI, 3D depth photography and interactive projection. He is a leading authority on MEMS product innovation.
Dr. Galvin has joined Incodema3D as both a partner and the Chief Technology Officer. Incodema3D is a 3D Printing Service Provider. He will be overseeing the development of new 3D materials for both Metal 3D and Plastic 3D printing technologies.
The company services the Aerospace, Automotive, Healthcare, Energy and Consumer Electronics Industries.
Incodema3D recently developed a strategic partnership with Cornell University. The company is located in Ithaca, NY.
